They discussed small business and SME issues. It was such a pleasant meeting with a very engaging Minister about our association, small business and SMEs, China, trade & investment, dissemination of government information, provision of services to businesses, My Business Awards, Small Business Month and collaboration with government.
CEO Caroline Hong was also invited as a guest of the NSW Deputy Premier, the Hon Andrew Stoner, MP, also Minister for Trade and Investment and Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Services, at the NSW Parliament House Question Time, and acknowledged by the Speaker The Honourable Shelley Hancock MP. The issues debated by the Coalition and the Opposition were interesting and vigorous, touching on transport, health, education and other issues.

CEO Caroline Hong and Executive Chairman Matt Johnson met with the Hon. Joe Hockey, Shadow Treasurer, on 30 April in North Sydney.
It was a positive meeting which allowed us to raise the awareness of small and medium enterprise businesses, making up 99.7% of total businesses in Australia, and why our association exists. Joe is very supportive of small and medium enterprises and understands the importance of SMEs for the future prosperity of Australia. Thank you Joe and for giving us your time and attention for SMEs. We are now on their media alerts and you can read them here: http://www.joehockey.com/mediahub/default.aspx
